Instead of asking why the system was this way, we asked a different question:

This measure has been introduced to help prevent misuse of the platform. We have observed a significant number of attempts by certain users to violate our terms of use, such as scraping content or skipping learning materials solely to obtain certificates without genuine participation. To maintain the integrity of our platform, protect our users, and preserve the value of our programmes, this change has been implemented. Our goal remains the same to keep quality learning accessible, meaningful, and affordable for everyone. We sincerely hope Kodacy continues to be skill-affordable for you. The Beginning

Kodacy was founded by Akash Joseph, an engineer and entrepreneur, together with a group of experienced and passionate professional educators.

Coming from technical and academic backgrounds, they understood two realities:
